Before you set up for a trip, please seek advice of your family doctor who will always inform you on all the prophylactic medical rules applicable when going to this or that particular country. On the other hand, if you have any illness, you doctor most probably will advise you an additional medical examination before your trip, and prescribe you the drugs you will have to take with you in necessary quantities.

The family doctor should provide you with the info on necessary vaccination if need be, or on special prophylactic measures. It may take some additional time, that is why you are advised not to postpone your visit to the doctor till too late. Go to the doctor in about a month before you are planning to go. Get acquainted with the medical help system in the country you are going to, and pay special attention to what your medical insurance provides you with.
